The parishioners of St. John’s Anglican Church, Cairns enjoy a wide range of activities to suit all ages. Whether you are a permanent resident, or a visitor to Cairns, you are most welcome to come and join us for worship, fellowship, and lots of fun.

Sunday School - every Sunday morning at 9am: led by our wonderfully enthusiastic Sunday School teachers, this is an active and vibrant time where our children can learn to love and live for Jesus.

 

Mainly Music - Every Monday (during school terms) from 9.30 - 10.30am Started in 1990, Mainly Music is a fun music group for parents or primary care givers to enjoy together with their young child. Throughout the morning, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialize with others.

 

Bible Study/Home Fellowship Groups meet at the following times:


   Monday - 7pm  Men's group meets with John in the church hall

   Tuesday - 6.30pm at Cas McIntyre's home (Redlynch)

   Wednesday - 9.00am at the church

Singing Group  - meets every Monday at 5.30pm in the church hall.  All who love to sing for the Lord are welcome.

 

The Mission Support Group is knitting shawls for the patients of the Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia.  Please join them.  Any scraps of wool would be greatly appreciated. Read more

Indoor bowls - St. Peter's Indoor Bowls Group from 12 noon each Tuesday
