Sermon Outline " Jesus says to pray and NEVER to give up ...."

DON'T GIVE UP - LOOK UP!

PERSISTENT PRAYER is PERSISTENT

 Vs 3 - widow kept coming

 PS 55:17; PS 86:3. Like the widow and the Psalmist, we call on God ALL the time

 Persistent Prayer MUST be the  Foundation of ST Johns and for our growth!
(Isa 62:6 -7.)

 PERSISTENT PRAYER is INSISTENT

vs 3: her plea - 'grant me justice against my adversary....'
The judge granted her plea.

We are being encouraged to persist in prayer.

THE CROWN OF GLORY awaits those who endure to the end.
(James 1:12)

A Promise for us ALL!

 vs 7: How much more will our heavenly Father bring justice to those who cry out to Him"

 VITAL FAITH is being demonstrated when we persist in Prayer!

 vs 8: - Will Jesus find Faith? Yes, we believe Jesus will find Faith at St Johns!

Dear GOD,

 I know that I am not worthy to be accepted by you.

I don’t deserve your gift of eternal life.

I am guilty of rebelling against you and ignoring you.

                       I need forgiveness!

 Thank you for sending your son to die for me, that I may be forgiven.

Thank you, that he rose from the dead to give me new life.

 Please forgive me and change me,

Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may live with Jesus as my ruler.
